Miramari: "Very competitive. Our secret is having fun." Simone Saporetti is in attack.

Forlì 's 2025-26 season officially began yesterday. The long-awaited return to Serie C , after eight consecutive years in the purgatory of the fourth division. At the Santa Maria Nuova sports field, in the municipality of Bertinoro, the renewed squad resumed its work, aided by the—for now—favorable temperatures. The new faces, recruited during this scorching period by sports director Protti, are getting to know the confirmed players and beginning to prepare for the new season, which will have the honor of being broadcast in its entirety on Sky TV.
The headquarters will remain in Santa Maria Nuova for about a month. This will be enough time to renovate the old grass pitch at the Federale/Ortali complex, as specifically requested by coach Alessandro Miramari. They will no longer be playing on the synthetic turf, which is more dangerous for the Galletti's ankles and knees. Therefore, as the official season approaches, they will return to playing near the "path" that runs through the Forlì sports complex.
After the equipment was delivered, the first session of the season began with the players on the pitch wearing white shirts and red shorts, under the orders of the staff. The staff, in addition to the Bologna coach, includes his assistant Filippo Ceglia, athletic trainers Alessandro Romagna and Alessandro Ridolfi, goalkeeping coach Filippo Di Leo, assistant Antonio Ciaccia, and physiotherapists Lorenzo Ragazzini and Maurizio Brigliadori. President Gianfranco Cappelli, general manager Matteo Mariani, sporting director Cristiano Protti, and around thirty fans were present to recognize the new faces.
Coach Miramari expressed his satisfaction and confidence regarding next season: "We're starting with the advantage of being able to count on a very competitive squad, having retained last season's core. We've made some changes, adding elements that are functional to our playing style. The club has done its best, and now the squad will be completed with the three or four additions, in various departments, that we need to be at a complete level." This confidence, the Bologna-born coach hopes, will be reflected by the fans: "Already in the second half of last season, we saw our fan base grow. We hope this trend continues. And we'll try to do so with our cheerful and fun football: that's our secret." The first friendly against Sassuolo's Primavera team will be played on Friday, July 18th at the Forlimpopoli stadium.
Yesterday, the club announced the signing of 27-year-old Simone Saporetti , arriving from Carpi in Serie C, with five goals in 37 games. The striker has scored 85 goals in his career with Imolese, Carrarese, Mantova, Fiorenzuola, Correggese, Franciacorta, and Ravenna, with a personal best of 28 goals in Serie D, Trento, and Renate. Also confirmed is full-back Giacomo Graziani, born in 2006 and trained at Forlì. After making his debut two years ago, he made 21 appearances, scoring one goal, last season.
This is the squad composed (for now) of 22 players. Goalkeepers: Luca Martelli, Luca Stella. Defenders: Luca Cappelli, Mirko Elia, Filippo Ercolani, Giacomo Graziani, Nicola Mandrelli, Stefano Pellizzari, Lorenzo Saporetti, Alessandro Spinelli, Andrea Toschi.
